High Voltage Switching

Overview:

The High Voltage Switching course is designed to equip electrical professionals with the practical knowledge and technical skills required to safely plan, coordinate, and perform high-voltage switching operations. Participants will develop a solid understanding of HV system components, switching procedures, risk mitigation techniques, and industry-standard safety practices. This training ensures operational safety, system reliability, and legal compliance in high-risk electrical environments.

Training Objectives:

The primary objective of the High Voltage Switching training is to equip participants with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to safely perform switching operations on high voltage electrical systems. This includes understanding the functions and operations of HV equipment, developing the ability to plan and execute safe switching procedures, and following strict isolation and earthing protocols. Participants will also learn how to conduct risk assessments, issue and manage permits to work, and respond effectively to emergency situations. By the end of the course, individuals will have gained the competence to operate within high-risk environments confidently while adhering to industry safety regulations and best practices.
